לאחר בחירת אבן גולמית וחסרת צורה, מתחיל התהליך המרתק של חשיפת הנסתר באבן התלת מימדית, ותהיות עולות לי על הצורה אשר תכף תתגלה.
בזמן החיפושים אחר הצורה הנכספת, מתגלה במוחי דמות אשר קיימת בי כבר, כמו מתנה שניתנה לי מזמן, ונוצר בי דחף עז לגלות אותה מהר ככל הניתן. חדורת התרגשות, אני נותנת לרגשות להנחות את ידיי ללא הסחות דעת, ודרך החיתוך והעיצוב של האבן, בהורדה של החלקים הגסים והמיותרים בה, אני נזכרת בצורתה המקורית ומבינה שיש בי גם צער על הריסת בריאה נדירה של הטבע.
ענני אבק נידפים מתוך המשחזת החשמלית, ובו בזמן הצורות מתחילות לצוץ לאיטן. כשהצורה נחשפת אני מתחילה בתהליך הארוך של ליטוש האבן, עוברת מנייר זכוכית עבה לדק, ולאט לאט הטקסטורות הופכות חלקות, צבעי אדמה, בהירים וכהים, מופיעים ומצליחים להדהים אותי פעם נוספת. בסופו של התהליך ניצב לו הפסל, קר ומאובן

After selecting a rough and unshaped stone, a fascinating process begins - looking for the yet unrevealed three-dimensional form and wondering what may come out of it. It is in looking for the unborn that the vision comes. It is there in my mind. It comes slowly, as a gift, and I feel an urgent need to discover it as fast as I can. Full of energy and excitement, I let my feelings guide my hands without allowing disturbing thoughts to enter my mind. I start cutting and shaping, taking off big and unnecessary chunks of stone, somewhere feeling sorry for destroying nature's creation. Clouds of stone powder explode from under my electric grinder while forms and shapes start to appear. The stone still looks opaque. None of the stone colors, veins and seams are there. When the form is finally revealed, I start the long polishing process. Going from thick to thin sand paper, slowly the smooth textures, bright earth colors and seams arise and amaze me again and again... There stands the cold and still sculpture.
I welcome my sculptures as newborns to the world. They now have a life of their own. Their strength and longevity will outlive me.
